I've heard about Behavior Modification (BM) from experimental
psychology. How is it relevant to work-related behaviors?
We find that behavior modification (BM) is required when people understand
and feel what needs to change in their work environment but are, nonetheless,
not acting to create such changes. In this case, we design concrete
behavioral programs to manage inner thoughts and feelings and to alter the
environmental matrix.
Will I have to practice new behaviors?
We use the BM model of ASSESSMENT-PRACTICE-FEEDBACK. After your assessment,
you will be given behavioral homework assignments to practice and master.
After the practicing period, you will receive feedback on your progress.
Is BM a difficult, cumbersome or painful intervention?
We don't think it has to be. It's a little bit like working out at a gym.
Your progress depends upon the attention, practice and dedication you put
into the work.
